Yesterday, I had my last-ever classes as an undergraduate.
We still have finals week to get through, however, and I have three papers and one exam, stretching over Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I am hoping that by next Friday it will hit me that I am finished and I am hoping it will feel good.
Here’s what I’m listening to:
- Bebe — Ella
- J Star — Elanor Reggae Rigby
- Clare Burson — Where You Are
- Thierry Blanchard — Superstar
- Flying White Dots — Somebody Helps The Wizard Zoom In On The Star
- Muggs — Morta
- Hello Saferide — Highschool Stalker
- Love Is All — Busy Doing Nothing
- Rainer Maria — Tinfoil
- Bratmobile — Bitch Theme
And here’s something that is much better than the original:

Update: And here is a version that only Peaches could do:

Congratulations
Yeah, the last week does kind of suck… You can do it though!
My last week was this past week, and things are said and done over here, so now I get to root for everyone else finishing things up. The thesis is called `Almost’ in ASL…. um. Wait. What the hell is it called?
`Almost’ in ASL: Insights into event structure.
It’s about the concept `almost’, claims people have made, etc., etc. And then I look at what `almost’ does in ASL, conduct a little experiment, and draw conclusions from there (hint: `almost’ is ambiguous in English, not vague, and there is not necessarily an underlying ambiguity in the concept itself, but rather, just how it is realized in English). Believe me, it only seems exciting — and doesn’t it though? — because there’s 80 pages of other crap I didn’t include.
I’m all for picking some agreeable time next week and having people from coast-to-coast do a shot in celebration of our successes! Best of luck… Keep chuggin’ along, because it will be over soon!
I was a bit surprised at how much Peaches sounds like Alanis.
