For Lovers (and Haters) of Mushrooms

Mutinus caninus, Dog StinkhornMs Lauren apparently found this offensive mushroom, Mutinus caninus (dog stinkhorn), in her lavender bed. Here at home we’ve been witnessing our courtyard slowly fill with mushrooms of various tops—flat, domed, umbrella-shaped. I worry what all George gets in his paws, hoping he doesn’t lick any poisonous remnants.

For the past couple weeks I’ve been regaling The Partner with my desires to grow fungi for the pure awesomeness of their mycelium.

Did you know mushrooms could save the world?
