Sometimes, though, a gem can be found within its pages. It’s rare — but if you’re lucky there will be something to amuse you, be it an outrageous news item or ignorant Letter to the Editor. I give you as an example yesterday’s paper:

Monday’s edition featured an article on Mehmet Ali AÄŸca, the person responsible for the creation of the bulletproof Popemobile. The editor obviously wasn’t paying too close attention to yesterday’s FRONT PAGE articles as they passed his eyes, as someone got sloppy with their cutting and pasting:

The same exam I skipped last semester so that I could attend a speaking by Derrick Jensen. The same exam that caused me to fail and thus retake the course.

I think this is the highlight of my semester. It is but another sign that I am not into being in school right now.

The bag fiasco should be taken care of by the end of this week. The hang-up was on the bank’s end so I used a different card and finally saw the beautiful Order Confirmation Page. If all goes well we should have our personalized bags by the end of next week.

This will hopefully be the last bag I need* to buy for a while. After seeing a bag in person, I’m sure the size I decided upon (small) should meet my needs whether I have to go to class or hit the streets of Amsterdam. Perfect.
